      Who requires an RCAC certificate?

      The Registration cum Allocation Certificate (RCAC) is issued by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) of India to its member exporters and merchants. This certificate is specifically required by exporters of agricultural products listed under schedules 1 and 2, such as basmati rice.
      Once the allocation of the APEDA RCAC is completed, all exporters are required to export their products within 45 days of receiving the certificate. This is an important regulation that aims to ensure timely export of agricultural products and prevent unnecessary delays in the supply chain.

      Prerequisite for APEDA RCAC

      The RCAC is issued only to the member exporter or registered merchant exporter of the APEDA. Usually it is advised for exporters to get registration cum allocation certificate for their shipment only when they are fully prepared to meet the compliances and timely delivery of the said product.

      Documents required for APEDA RCAC Registration

      These are the following documents that are required to be enclosed with the application form while filing for APEDA registration cum allocation certificate (APEDA-RCAC). Applicants are required to ensure that all their documents should be in readable and good condition.

      1. Import export code certificate

      2. The signed certificate from the bank

      3. Statement of bank account of last 2 months

      4. Canceled cheque is also required

      5. Gst registration certificate

      6. Duly signed APEDA registration form

      • FSSAI central license

      • MSME certificate if applicable

      • NOC from pollution control board

      • Proof of business such as incorporation certificate/ firm registration certificate

      • DIS/SIA issued by department of horticulture in case of food products listed

      Procedure for APEDA RCAC certification

      The process for registration can be categorized into four parts.
      • Details and Documentation: Applicants are required to provide basic details and documents to get APEDA RCAC.
      Filing of application: Once all the documents are duly verified first handed by applicants. They are required to file an online application to get RCAC from APEDA.
      • Submission of fee: The fee needed to be submitted along with the application form
      Issuance of certification: The members of APEDA will get registration cum allocation certificate for their shippent. As per the guidelines of APEDA, exporters members are required to ship their products within 45 days of getting APEDA RCAC.

      Validity and renewal of APEDA RCAC Registration
      • The registration-cum-membership-certificate (APEDA RCAC Registration) is valid for 5 years.
      • The RCMC license will be auto-renewed after every 5 years. Once the fee is submitted, no additional document or submission is required.
